It’s warmer than usual, unless you are homeless. I guess it doesn’t matter how cold, once it hits below 40, when you are sleeping on concrete. We need public lockers for them. We need public bathrooms for them. We need safe space for them to heal and grow.
Bally’s has started helping with a community food drive for the Food Bank of South Jersey, Egg Harbor Township. Adopt-A-Family to help through the Salvation Army program in Atlantic City for those who experienced a tragedy or crisis this past year. Also there is the Adopt-An-Elder program facilitated by Preferred Care at Absecon. They help provide quality patient care in a warm comfortable setting. Thanks to local Holiday Guide 2022 for the info. Look for their issues around Cape May & Atlantic County. There’s a snowman on the front. It tells of great places to go and things to do right now… Get it for FREE… http://www.jerseycapemagazine.com… I got mine at Marcacci Meat Market 6407 Ventnor Ave, Ventnor City
Friday night there was a UFC Cage Fury Fight at Caesars. Very bloody 11 fights. The fighters with bigger cups lost every time. Maybe they were meant to be lovers instead. Maybe. Or maybe their cup padding was bigger because of their skill level. Many women screaming supportively, in the audience.
Atlantic City Ballet Company gave a Nutcracker performance at Caesar’s Saturday night. The company is led by Phyllis Pappa the Founder and Artistic Director. She is a pleasure to work with, and her actors are well trained and very sweet. It is like working with the Philadanco company in Philly, professional and respectful. Phyllis was my teacher when she first started out. She gave me a strong foundation of barre training, that I have incorporated into my lifestyle since then. I found out she still gives adult classes on Thursdays in Atlantic City. New class forming in January. Emailto:info@acballet.org or call tel:6093487201. I am considering joining. How exciting, and scary! It’s fun to be alive in a body. Even your hands and fingers can move gracefully. Maybe you can join me.
Solstice is here. Hanukkah is here. Kwanzaa is here. Love is here.
Suggestion from the actor who plays the head teacher in Harry Potter for those who need a woke pronoun that doubles as a verb… instead of saying he she them it… I will use “love.”
Hello this is Marla Blanche (Love) signing in… for today…
